Types of OEW Installations

OEW is an order entry program that can be installed on a user’s PC,                Standalone, LAN (Wired), or on a Terminal/Citrix/Cloud server.

LAN setup over an internet connection (VPN): Not recommended or supported.

Since OEW is automatically saving as the user is working. The data is traveling back and forth in the connection. This setup was originally intended for a (LAN) local area network system (workstations hard-wired to a server). With faster internet now widely available. Some companies are working on our LAN setup over an internet connection (VPN). Several companies needed to move to our recommended Terminal Services type of setup for remote users. They were experiencing extreme slowness causing disconnects and corrupt PO files.
